Meet the meteorologists’ of WTVM’s storm team:
Kurt Schmitz has been Chief Meteorologist for The News Leader since 1989. He appears on News Leader 9 at 5, 5:30, 6 and 11PM Monday through Friday.
Bruce Lee joined the WTVM Storm Team in September 2005. His hard work and dedication to weather helped him to move up the ranks quickly and was promoted to Morning Meteorologist in April 2006. His passion for weather goes back to the 6th grade.
Derek Kinkade joined News Leader 9 as weekend meteorologist in July 2006, coming to us from the NBC station in Macon.
